Study Programme

For young people between the ages of 16-18 and up to 24 if they have a statement of special educational needs, EHCP, Section 139a or a learner Support Plan.

At Archway Academy we offer a Post 16 Study Programme which is aimed to get you the qualifications and experience you need to improve your future employment prospects. As part of the study programme you will undertake a core aim in a vocational area and improve your maths and English so you have the best chance of the career you want. Within your time at Archway you can gain a range of qualifications from painting and decoration to hospitality and complete training in more than one vocational area.

The programme at Archway encourages you to be involved in many activities to prepare you for your chosen career path that can include work experience,, community projects and workshops. These activities will help to improve your employability skills and personal development which will benefit you to gain positive progressions in further education, apprenticeships or employment.

Traineeships

For young people between the ages of 16-18 or 19 if you have a learning disability or assessment.

The traineeship is designed for young people that want to get an apprenticeship or work but don’t yet have appropriate skills or experience. A traineeship helps young people to be work ready through experience, work preparation improving maths and English and enrichment activities. By supporting young people through this 6 month traineeship we unlock their great potential and prepare them for their future careers.

Supported Internships

The supported internship gives young people with complex learning difficulties or disabilities the opportunity to improve their prospects. The internship is designed to help learner develop the skills they need for the workplace and prepare for independent life. Learner on the internships will be based at an employer’s premises and they have the knowledge of an expert job coach. We support our learners on the internship with our Special Educational Needs Professional.
